Armand has served his country for many years in major roles as a member of the Canadian National Defence Program. Mr. St-Pierre has been involved in hockey and football all of his life, as a player and coach. He has coached minor elite hockey, as well as college and university. In recent years he served as a governor in the QMJHL at the executive level, and as well he sat on several important administrative hockey committees. For several years he has been scouting young prospects in the Quebec region for Major Junior, Universities, and the National Hockey League.
A semi-retired person, Armand brings to Selects Hockey a vast amount of expertise and knowledge in hockey, while being an interface with French hockey organizations and players. Fluent in both English and French, Armand graduated from McGill University with a MBA and PH. D. in the field of Business and Technology.
Marc played his youth hockey for the Harfangs des Escoumins in northern Quebec. Since 2003, he has served as an amateur scout with International Scouting Services (ISS) covering players from the Quebec providence for the QMJHL draft and also potential draft picks for the NHL entry draft.
Marc is currently employed as a QMJHL scout for the Lewiston Maineacs organization (QMJHL - Quebec) as well as a head scout with the Laurentides Vikings, a midget AAA team in Quebec. Marc is also the assistant coach at a hockey school program named Academie St Gabriel where he is coaching kids from 11 to 14 years old. Marc continues to be a strong force in promoting the Selects Hockey program to Quebec's elite youth players. Marc has been working with Selects Hockey for three years.
Pierre Olivier is originally from Trois-Rivieres, QC. After playing his minor hockey in the double letter, he moved on to the coaching of several Minor Hockey teams as an instructor and coach. He began his coaching career with the Estacades Atome BB organization. Pierre Olivier spent the past three years working with Pee Wee AA/AAA teams during the winter and summer seasons and won several Championships over that span.
Pierre Olivier also worked with several summer AAA teams where he was an instructor in camp and also helping administrating tournaments. His duties with Selects Hockey includes scouting young prospects to give them the opportunity to play with top international elite players. He is also working with the Cougars Selects program to develop elite development training programs for younger prospects and to organize elite teams to play national tournaments.
Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Matt played his youth hockey with the Fargo Northside Raiders. Matt moved on to play two years of junior hockey, at the Junior B and Junior A levels, respectively.
Following the end of his junior career, Matt has worked as a junior scout since 2003. He has worked for the Binghamton Jr. Senators (2003-2005) and the Syracuse Stars of the EJHL (2005-2007), recruiting Michigan players for each program respectively. He currently works for the Indiana Ice of the USHL as the team's Michigan scout, watching U16 AAA and Michigan high school hockey teams.
In 2007, Matt started with the Selects Hockey program as a scout and coach with the 94 West Coast Selects team. Matt contiues to scout for the Selects Hockey program and coach with our West Coast Selects teams.
Magnus is the Director of European Selects and current head coach for MB Hockey Junior A team in Stockholm. Formerly Magnus was a head hockey instructor with the Djurgarden hockey program of the Swedish Elite League in Stockholm, Sweden.
His hockey coaching experience has helped ECS in recruiting top Swedish hockey players, and also in assisting our program in coordinating our European tours. Magnus is also a amateur scout for International Scouting Services (ISS).
Magnus is a veteran instructor of the Selects Hockey Elite Camps and has been behind the bench for several showcase championship teams in recent seasons.
